The international campaign in the struggle with obesity existing near the Euro commission, consider that the obesity problem became very serious, similar to an epidemic. Every year, in Euro community increases the number of children with obesity problems. And the number of adults with this kind of problems exceeds 200 millions. Greece is situated on the first place regarding adults suffering of obesity (27.5% men and 38.1%women). On the second place is situated Cyprus (26.6% men and 23.7% women). Furthermore Cyprus alongside with Greece and Great Britain, Sweden and Ireland is included in the same category of countries where 20% of children 7/11 years old suffer of obesity. If only 5 years ago only 19.9% of children in Cyprus suffering of this disease, now their number exceeds 29.9%. The Ministry of Health will start an epidemiological survey regarding this problem.
